Gangothri English Medium School was founded in 1991. The activities of the school are carefully designed and executed to make education at GEMS, a wholesome and enjoyable experience.
A simple, yet distinctive and firm underlying philosophy of the school, to provide the rich Indian educational tradition and core values, has been received very positively; it has resulted in the growth of the school to be rated as one of the best schools in Palakkad district in Kerala. The Institution has further diversified its operations in the field of education to include the GEMS Finishing School. GEMS is in an idyllic setting; the campus at the foothills of Nelliyampathy ranges, fine weather and a natural, pollution-free atmosphere satisfy the most important factor for students to be able to learn, observe, introspect and contemplate in a most desirable environment. Education in such ambience is a rewarding experience for our students, truly their “Golden years”.

The school has grown from its Kinder Garten level to the current stage due to the undaunted and dedicated services of the trustees and the total support of Sri. K S Ramakrishna Iyer without whose financial help and guidance this would not have been possible. The school has attained the status of a full-fledged senior Secondary English Medium School with classes from Pre-KG to 12th Std. with CBSE Affiliation (Code No:930479).
